How LeaseLedger Works

A structured monthly reporting framework designed for documentation, certification, and responsible data furnishing.

1

Housing Provider Submission

Participating housing providers submit residential rental payment performance information on a monthly basis. Submissions must follow LeaseLedger’s standardized reporting format and include required identifying elements necessary for accurate file matching.

Housing providers must maintain underlying lease agreements and payment records in the ordinary course of business and be prepared to provide supporting documentation upon request.

2

Monthly Certification

For each reporting cycle, the housing provider submits a written certification attesting that the information provided for the reporting period is accurate, complete, and submitted in good faith.

Data is not eligible for furnishing unless the required certification is received and validated for the applicable cycle.

3

Validation & Quality Review

LeaseLedger performs validation procedures designed to promote data integrity prior to furnishing. Validation includes review for completeness, format consistency, internal logic checks, and exception handling where inconsistencies are identified.

Records that fail validation are held from furnishing until resolved or excluded from the reporting cycle where appropriate.

4

Furnishing to Consumer Reporting Agencies

Once validation is complete, verified rental payment performance data is furnished through approved transmission channels on a standardized monthly reporting schedule.

LeaseLedger furnishes data in accordance with applicable law and established consumer reporting agency standards.

5

Dispute Handling & Corrections

If a dispute is received from a consumer reporting agency or directly from a consumer, LeaseLedger conducts a reasonable investigation based on available documentation and confirmation from the housing provider.

Where information is determined to be inaccurate, incomplete, or not verifiable, LeaseLedger processes corrections or deletions in accordance with applicable requirements.
